Year 6 Ambassador 2020

Malo e lelei!





My name is Vika Vaka, my parents were born at Vava'u in Tonga. I have 4 sisters and 4 brothers yes I have a big family.I believe I would be a great year 6 ambassador for 2020.





”Why do I want to be Ambassador?” I want to help our visitors to know Pt England better. It is a privilege for me to be someone who loves our school and share our learning.





And also my favorite sport is netball,cricket and softball also I have been joining stuff which is production “what” is production”production is a show which you act and sing and dance.






Next I have been dancing to my culture when it was Tongan language week and It was so cool .





My strengths are when I get something wrong I still go on with it and also I am not nervous to do anything which is dancing but not in front of a big audience.

A Trip To Hawaii

One beautiful sunny day there was a family who wanted to go for a trip to Hawaii so then they packed up.




After that they went on the Plan and when they went inside they were so excited to go to Hawaii and when they landed they went to motel Next to a beach.




Next the put there so case away and went for a walk and when they started to walk they walked around the beach and then saw something and what the found was a rock pool and one of the daughter from they said there mum “can we please swim in the” and then the mum said “yes” so then they ran inside the motel and got there swimming togs and they went back to the rock pool and so then went swimming but first went on the ladder and did a canet ball.




After that the were so tired so then they went to the motel and went for a shower and then they went to get changed and then they went to go sleep.But the mum and dad went to the rock pool and sawm.





Finally the kids woke up and went to find there mum and dad but they couldn't find then so then the sister said “where are you mum and dad?” They asked, so then something happened.

Trem 4 animation something in the water

Auckland Museum

Day 1 Yesterday the extension group and a few others went to the Auckland Museum. It was a great experience to visit the most precious art effects from the olden days and from when Maori people use to travel and live in New Zealand. But before we saw all of the art effects. We went to a room with a lady called Wendy. Once we got into the room I thought we would be sitting on the ground, but instead we got to sit on bean bags and comfy chairs. Then Wendy introduced two lady's but I would tell you there name but I forgot. The two ladies were telling us about the ocean and the rocky shore. Then we got to play a game. We had to pick two pieces of paper. The word that I got was between and up. Once we picked our words we had to decide if it would be put in the ocean or in the rocky shore. After the game, we got to look at actual creatures from the sea and the rocky shore. Such as starfishes, coral, mussel, jelly fish and much more. Then we got into our groups and then the Wendy told use what station we would be at. Oh, and by the way, there were three activities. The first was similar to scratch but instead of creating a character we had to guide a robot to the end. The second activity was that we had to draw on an app called paint 3d. It's when you have to create a character or an animal and press a button and it uses the your character or animal and puts it in front of you on camera.  Then the third was my favourite it was called VR world. VR world is short for saying Visual Reality. My group started at the paint 3D app. I finished my character like ten minutes later. Then My group went to the VR world activity it was really fun for me but it gave me a headache. Then I went to the Robot part. We had to be in two groups. I was with Madison. We were kind of struggling. After that we had lunch I kind of liked it. After lunch my group and Miss Kathy's group went around the Museum. It was fun I guess. But I was so excited to go into the volcano room, but when it erupted there was only two eruptions. Then we had to meet in the room. I enjoyed the first day at the Museum.

Day 2

On Tuesday  extension group and a few others went to the Auckland Museum again. This time we actually got to work on VR world and paint 3D and we got to do coding with the robot's. I was in the VR world. When we started to work on it. Oh and by the way we had to draw the rockey shore. After a while it when my group did the rocks it looked like mount scribbles. Then when my group finished we just did scratch on the Ipads. When it was all over we had to say goodbye. I enjoyed the last day at the museum.
